Especially in difficult times, it can be hard to find sources of acceptance, affirmation, and healing. Often the people closest to us – family, classmates, and co-workers, don’t accept us for who we are. Perhaps we are gifted and see the world differently, in a new relationship and scared of old mistakes, or are trying to better understand ourselves and our past. Whatever the reason, we also desire to be happy, whole, and loved – and especially to become something more than what we are. Our lives have purpose, depth, and meaning, and I am here to help you find yours.
I will help you put your fears into words and break down the dissonance between who you are and who you want to be. I enjoy teaching how to challenge and overcome negative thoughts. I have experience with people of all ages and I have a big heart for people leaving or scared of relationships, survivors of sexual abuse, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The trust between the client and therapist is the most important predictor of good therapy. I am eager to build that trust with you, and help you live your life to its fullest. I currently have evening and limited weekend availability in my practice and am happy to hear from you for a phone consult.
I currently accept BCBS and Midlands Choice insurance and my therapy rate is $120 per session. Sliding scale fees are also available in case of financial hardship.
